The Santaland Diaries: David Sedaris’ Dark Holiday Story
The Second Stage at the Adrienne Theatre, Philadelphia
Flashpoint co-founder Derick Loafmann stars in a return holiday engagement of The Santaland Diaries, a solo show based on a David Sedaris story. It’s the outrageously funny tale of Sedaris’ employment as an embittered elf at Macy’s in New York. At first the job is simply humiliating, but once the thousands of visitors start pouring through Santa’s workshop, Crumpet the Elf becomes battle weary and bitter, occasionally taking out his frustrations on the children and parents alike. The production is directed by Noah Herman.

The Elvis Christmas Bash: Two Elvises are Better Than One
Keswick Theatre in Glenside
Mike Albert & Scot Bruce team-up for The Elvis Christmas Bash at Keswick Theatre. The two Kings bring the young teen-idol Elvis and the Vegas superstar Elvis together to perform all of his greatest hits as well as his beloved seasonal classics. This is a holiday concert fit for “The King,” presented by two of the world’s foremost Elvis impersonators, backed by The Big E Band.

Chlamydia for Christmas and Herpes for Hanukkah Burlesque

Created and performed by Flashpoint Theatre Company co-founders Gigi Naglak and Meghann Williams, Chlamydia for Christmas and Herpes for Hanukkah: More Sex-Ed Burlesque for the Holidays combines holiday-themed song and dance numbers with plenty of comedy to create a seasonal take on sexual issues. A similar show, entitled Chlamydia dell’Arte was a hit at the Philly Fringe Fest, so this pair of saucy performers created an all-new version with a wintertime twist, featuring carols with naughty lyrics, comic takes on office parties and more sexy Yuletide fun.
