Kids bowl free this summer

How would you like your kids to bowl for free this summer? It’s possible, thanks to three programs available in the Philadelphia area.

Each kids bowl free program works slightly differently, and, from what I can tell, there are no overlapping locations from one program to another. That means that you could possibly get three times as much free bowling each day this summer. Here are the details:

AMF Summer Unplugged: This free bowling program at AMF lanes begins well before school lets out–May 14th–and runs through September 3rd. After registering online, you can get vouchers for up to two free games each day. (Shoe rental is not included.) AMF lanes in our area participating in this program include Bristol Pike Lanes and Parkway Lanes in Allentown.

Student Ball Pass 2012: Any student, ages 18 and younger, can sign up for the Brunswick Student Ball Pass 2012, and then get a free day of bowling at participating Brunswick Bowling Lanes every day in June, July, and August. You’ll find Brunswick Zones locations in the Philly area in Feasterville, PA; and Deptford, NJ.

Kids Bowl Free: This nationwide program allows you to register for daily free passes for bowling and to enter to win a chance to raise money for your kid’s school. There are at least a dozen bowling centers in the Philly area participating in the Kids Bowl Free program, including:

  • Hamilton Lanes (Hamilton, NJ)
  • Medford Lanes (Medford, NJ)
  • Playdrome Rose Bowl (Allentown, PA)
  • Town N Country Lanes (Bethlehem, PA)
  • Thunderbird Lanes (Philadelphia, multiple locations)

Isn’t a trip to the bowling alley a great summertime activity when you’re looking to cool off indoors? Plus, bowling counts as exercise. Just don’t indulge in the cheese fries from the snack bar!

Thanks to Fort Lauderdale on the Cheap for sharing information about some of these programs.
