Someone told me that Halloween is soon going to rival Christmas as far as big-time celebrations go. I believe it.

These days you’ll find people decorating their front yards as much for this spooky holiday as they do for the December holidays.

Right here in Philadelphia there are many different ways to celebrate Halloween on the cheap. Here are 3 worth looking into this month.

Halloween Pub Crawl
Halloweekend PubCrawl Philadelphia will feature some of the best bars in the city filled with ghouls, ghosts and goblins who are ready to celebrate with drink specials and other surprises. You have to get tickets in advance, and Goldstar has some dates where the tickets are actually FREE! These include Friday, October 26th, Saturday, October 27th, and Wednesday, October 31st.

The Haunting of Philly Party
Lucky Strike, Philadelphia’s unique combination of bowling alley, nightclub, bar and restaurant, presents their Haunting of Philly Halloween party. For $5 you can dress up in your most creative costume and prepare to party the night away. The Haunting of Philly is on Saturday, October 27th, at 9 p.m. Lucky Strike is located at 1336 Chestnut Street.

Terror Behind the Walls
Halloween in Philly isn’t complete without a terrifying visit to the Eastern State Penitentiary’s Terror Behind the Walls. While you’ll always save money by buying your tickets online, there are a few ways you can save even more on admission. For starters since Lukoil is a sponsor of the 2012 Terror Behind the Walls, if you visit a Lukoil in the Delaware Valley, you can ask for a $5 off coupon, while supplies last. Also, there is Student Sundays when students with ID get a discounted rate for admission after 9 p.m. on Sundays.

If you hear of other free and cheap spooky Halloween celebrations, let me know!

Hot Coupon from Kellogg’s

Do you like to pack chewy bars in your kids’ school lunches? Or keep a box in the minivan when the munchies hit–and you don’t want to spend money at a convenience store? If so, then you’re going to love this new coupon from Kellogg’s.

If you click the box at left, you can print a coupon for $.70 off Kellogg’s FiberPlus Nutty Delights Bars. Even better? If you shop at a supermarket that doubles coupons, that means that you can save $1.40 off the cost of a box. Couple that with a sale and you’ll save big.

In fact, right now Kellogg’s Fiber Plus bars are on sale at Superfresh for $2.79, through 9/13/12. I know Superfresh doubles coupons, so this single coupon would be applied to the $2.79 purchase price at $1.40, meaning your final cost would be $1.39 for a box that should get you through at least a week’s worth of packing school lunches!

You can buy this crock at most big box stores, or through Amazon.com (click on the picture, right, to go through to Amazon to buy it).

Jamba JuiceI’d never had Jamba Juice smoothies until I attended BlogHer last week in New York City. Jamba Juice was one of the conference sponsors and was exhibiting in the Expo Hall–giving away free smoothies to bloggers like myself who stopped by.

I rarely buy smoothies out because I can make them for free at home. But, man, was that Jamba Juice good. So good that when I was at the Port Authority Bus Terminal, waiting for my bus back to Bucks County, I stopped at Jamba Juice and treated myself to a light smoothie.

If you like Jamba Juice, check out the coupon above. It’s for $2 off a sixteen-ounce smoothie–the smallest size, I believe, that Jamba Juice offers. Like I said I was able to get a light version of the smoothie, if you’re looking for refreshment without all the calories.

The only Jamba Juice location I could find in the Philly area is at Philadelphia International Airport, in Terminal D. So if you have to fly somewhere soon and want to get a smoothie before you go, definitely click through for this $2 off coupon!

With just two weeks remaining, Men’s Wearhouse’s National Suit Drive is seeking donations of professional attire to help Americans in need.

Now through July 31, Men’s Wearhouse stores will be collecting gently used men’s and women’s suits, shirts, jackets, ties, belts, and shoes. Not only will you feel good about donating your clothes, but also you will be rewarded: donors will receive a coupon for 50% off the regular price of all items (excluding shoes and Everyday Low Price items) on their next Men’s Wearhouse purchase, as well as a tax receipt. In addition, for every suit donated, Men’s Wearhouse will donate two ties to the cause.

To donate, customers can go to any of the more than 900 Men’s Wearhouse stores nationwide. There are dozens of locations in the Philly area, including Willow Grove and the Princeton area.
