Enjoy Labor Day Weekend with free family fun and music at the 8th Annual Wildwood Block Party and Music Festival on Sunday, September 2nd.

The end-of-summer celebration will take place from 12 noon until 10 p.m. at Fox Park, located on Ocean Avenue directly across from the Wildwoods Convention Center. The festivities will include games, crafts, food, merchandise vendors, free live music, fireworks, and much more!

The entertainment line-up will begin at 12 noon featuring Just in Time, Bitter Sweet, Jeremiah Hunter Band, Beatlemania, The Blue Notes, Charlie Gracie, 45 RPM, and The Trammps (burn baby burn, disco inferno….)

Chubby Checker–the man who introduced the still popular dance craze, “The Twist,”–will be back in the Wildwoods for the first time since 1960. He takes the stage at 9 p.m.

A fireworks extravaganza on the beach at Rio Grande Avenue will conclude the Centennial Celebration at 10 p.m.

You can get more information about this special event–again free–on the Wildwoods website.

Of course, the Boardwalk is always free in the Wildwoods, and is a great place to stroll and people watch.
