Here’s a new Philadelphia freebie: You can enjoy free admission to part of the National Museum of American Jewish History during regular museum hours. This free admission is to the ground floor gallery, which houses the popular Only in America exhibit and hall of fame. This exhibit illustrates the lives and accomplishments of distinguished Jewish-Americans, such as Leonard Bernstein, Albert Einstein, Steven Spielberg, Irving Berlin, Barbra Streisand and many others.

Note: The National Museum of American Jewish History, at 101 South Independence Mall East in Philadelphia, is open Tuesday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The museum is closed on Mondays. (Interesting–as a Jewish Museum, I’d have thought it would be closed on Saturdays!)
