Don’t have any barbecue or cookout plans for your 4th of July meals? No worries. There are a number of ways that you can eat for free on Independence Day without crashing some stranger’s party.

A handful of national restaurants with locations in the Philadelphia area, plus one retail store, that have free food offers that are good for the 4th of July. Here are 3 for the 4th:

  • It seems like nearly every other week Chili’s restaurants are giving you a way to eat for free, whether it’s a kids eat free deal or the current offering of free chips and queso when you print out this coupon and bring it with you to a Chili’s location through July 4th.
  • Did you know that kids eat for free at IKEA every Tuesday and you can get a free breakfast at IKEA on Mondays? Well, turns out that kids eat for free at IKEA through July 4th during this holiday week. Unlike many kids-eat-free deals, you don’t need to purchase an adult meal to get this freebie — just show up, and each child under 12 gets a free kid’s combo meal, worth $2.49.
  • Stop in at Starbucks July 4, and you’ll get a free tall Starbucks coffee. This is part of the Starbucks #INDIVISIBLE initiative to get customers talking about the upcoming election.

If you hear of other free food offers, post a comment to let me know.
