Free at Noon Concerts at WXPN

If you love music and happen to be heading towards the University City area or be in Center City on Fridays, you may want to consider attending one of the WXPN Free at Noon Concerts.

Past performers at Free at Noon (and which are archived through the NPR Music website) include Adele, Barenaked Ladies, Beck, Joan Osborne, The Spin Doctors and more.

Coming up this Friday, October 21st, the Free at Noon concert features Angel Band from Wilmington, Delaware.

WXPN support Philabundance so though concert admission is free, the station asks that you bring a box or can of non-perishable food to donate.

Some housekeeping notes to keep in mind with Free at Noon concerts:

• You must RSVP ahead of time to secure your free tickets. You cannot just show up.
• Popular bands tend to “sell out” quickly so don’t wait until the last minute to RSVP.
• The lineup is announced about a week in advance but you can stay up-to-date by following WXPN on Twitter
• Parking at WXPN is not free so walk, take public transportation, or plan to pay up to park your car.
